Au Pont Rouge is one of the first department stores built in the world. Founded in 1907, it was reopened after 108 years in 2015.

Konstantin de Rochefort and Vladimir Lipsky designed this iconic building, advanced technologies including a steel frame were used during the construction.

Level 1

The first floor was designed by the leading British architect Christopher Jenner whom embodied the best of Art Nouveau interiors. Particularly noteworthy are the elevators and marble staircase, reconstructed according to historical references to their original details.

It is an interactive space featuring a selection of designer clothes, footwear and accessories you can purchase selective perfumery, special jewelry from Brazil, beautiful flowers, international magazines, exclusive Russian souvenirs and interior design and decoration items.

Also there is the biggest books corner among the department stores in St.Petersburg, which is curated by Hermitage Museum Shop. Here you can buy unique and rare international and Russian books, stationary and souvenirs, from our exclusive partnership with the Hermitage.

In between shopping you can always enjoy the exclusive tea, coffee, fresh pastries and fragrant soups at French patisserie Garçon.

Level 2

More than a thousand square meters of the second floor occupies a niche brand of cosmetics and perfumery Cosmotheca with a fully automated customer service system. International designers Cheungvogl from Hong Kong developed the design of the beauty oasis of the future. Architects created a sterile white space in the style of Japanese neominimalizm, where simple geometric forms of furniture alternate with green trees. At the same time, this innovative and refined beauty-floor is divided into zones of niche cosmetics and beauty – the largest in Europe “the garden of selective perfumery” and personal shopping zone.

Cosmotheca represents conceptual stores and corners of progressive ethical niche brands of cosmetics and fragrances from around the world in Russia.

Brands represented in the portfolio are the innovative pioneers of the beauty industry, which have already become iconic (or are about to) and have won the recognition of professionals, journalists and European and American buyers. The existing brand list shares a common ethic and approach: a fair price, clean formulations, effective skincare, cleaner production, social responsibility.

A robotic machine was specially designed and constructed for Au Pont Rouge and now it helps to perform storage, collection and movement of orders. Customers can watch the order assembly process through the special transparent glass. Your orders are delivered to point of sale.

Since January 2017 Barbers BÕN started work. BÕN ideology is addressed to those for whom the culture of care for themselves and their own appearance – it’s not a fad, but a ritual which has become part of the lifestyle, and one of the first items on the list of good habits.

Level 3

The third floor was designed by New York architect Rafael de Cardenas, who has changed a typical design of retail space. The design is clean but intricate aesthetic, articulated in three distinct ceiling patterns that can be seen from the street. Colored glass, metal and mirrors form a futuristic space, which presents the brands that define each season trends and set the entire fashion-industry tone.

Everyone can find something exceptional here – contemporary, street-style, or casual, proven styles or custom designs – the choice is yours.

One of Au Pont Rouge’s missions is to develop and support talents from different fashion and culture areas.

Young designers and small shops now have a unique opportunity to present their collections in the best department of St. Petersburg, to attract attention and to expand its audience.

At Level 4 you will find the most essential fashion, street-fashion, design, art and culture projects, imbued with the spirit of youth and freedom.

WONDERLAND is not just a conceptual project, but also an interactive platform, which will host exhibitions, concerts and other events.

Level 6
